Defined and implemented Strava's motion design system, building toolkits and interactive animations in partnership with Product. Our motion design language aims to feel fluid, energetic, and grounded in natural movement. Every animation is an opportunity to strengthen our brand. We achieve this by balancing the need for functional clarity with expressive brand moments. The degree of "human touch" is intentional and context-dependent.

Beyond the motion system, I thought it was time to dust off our animation infrastructure. I pioneered and partnered with Engineering to completely refresh the platform. The move drastically sped up our production pipeline, improved performance, and unlocked new ways to integrate expressive, high-fidelity motion throughout the Strava app.
